Thronkfest 2: Thronk Harder tickets
Thronkfest returns, bigger, badder, longer and harder than ever.
Newport's premier punk festival is back on the 7th February in The Cab.
Starting at 2pm until late, 9 bands will be bringing all the fun you know and love Thronkfest for, but in an extended festival format.
The Line up has been thronked right up to 11 and here are the hottest tickets in punk rock.
The bands!
⚡
Face Up! - This hardcore punk band needs no introduction. Fresh from smashing the main stage at this year's Rebellion they'll be making their Cab debut as they headline Thronkfest 2.
⚡
Joyce - Joyce is a brand new project from Jimmy Watkins – a GB olympic athlete who quit for rock & roll. For this project Jimmy has brought together an array of talented musical friends, including the likes of Phil Thornalley (The Cure), Joe Hicklin (Big Special), Gwenllian Anthony (Adwaith) and Paul Broome (Fauxchisels).
⚡
Mondo Wave - The Martian punk rockers have been receiving rave reviews of their album Gonzo along with their killer live performances.
⚡
Pizzatramp - do we need to say anything about the best thrash punk out there? (PS Jimmy sill hasn't 100% confirmed, expect a reply in Dec😂).
⚡
Blagged - hot off the heels of playing Punk Rock Holiday in Slovenia with Descendents, these Manchester scallywags will bruise your ears with aplomb.
⚡
Thronk - Newport chancers turn up to their own festival. Shocker. Expect the usual fast punk anthems.
⚡
Shreds - Sheffield Skatepunks Shreds have been tearing up the scene for some time now and will be heading back to the Cab with a new album in tow. A seriously great live experience.
⚡
Positive Reaction - The South Wales lot know how to deliver old school hardcore that hurts. One of the best around.
⚡
Death Roll - The Plymouth hardcore trio will be making their Cab debut as they come to roundhouse you with their brand of Southwest Hardcore. You seriously need to check them out via their bandcamp.
⚡
Acts of Gross Indecency - The Cardiff queerpunks will be opening proceedings with a rapid fire blunder buster of a show. Get there early to catch what will be one of the days great sets.
The event will also feature live-at-the-venue coverage by Planet of Sŵn and Two Tough Bastards Radio as well as being photographed by the amazing Tab Shoots!
This event is a fundraiser for The Cab where all profit goes direct to the venue to help in it's support of grassroots live music, international touring bands, charity work and community arts.
